About Us

Colorado State University Extension in Arapahoe County provides education, information and programs for the benefit of every citizen.

Our staff and volunteers work with researchers and professors at Colorado State University to answer questions and provide citizens with research-based resources and programs on topics ranging from youth development and family finances to health, agriculture, food safety, gardening and more.

CSU Extension is part of the national extension system, created by Congress in 1914, which calls on land-grant universities in every state to deliver research-based information to Extension agents throughout the state. Colorado State University was charged with creating Extension offices within easy reach of all 64 Colorado counties. The Arapahoe County Extension office has been proud to support residents since 1917.

Mission: Our mission is to provide information and education, and encourage the application of research-based knowledge in response to local, state and national issues affecting individuals, youth, families, agricultural enterprises and communities of Colorado.

When you are looking for straightforward, research-based, usable information to improve the quality of life for your family and your community, make your first stop CSU Extension. You won’t need to look any further.
