(updated 6.16.08) The 81st Annual Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition will be held September 23-28, 2008 at the Qwest Center, located in downtown Omaha. Enteries are due in your county offices by Friday, August 15.
Exhibitor families are encouraged to download the premium book at www.aksarben.org.
New . . . Livestock Quiz Bowl!!
There will be a new contest added to State Conference this year. . . it is called Livestock Quiz Bowl. It will be held on Thursday, June 26th, 2008. If you think you might be interested and want more information, call Nick Striegel at the Extension Office. Or if you want to see it in action, come to State Conference on June 26th to see what it is like.
If there is interest, we would like to develop a team for this year. If not this year, it would be great to have a team for next year.

The Colorado State Fair Board of Commissioners voted on Friday, November 30, 2007, to continue requiring all 4-H and FFA livestock entries at the Fair to hold a valid livestock premises identification number. Click here to view news release.

New Animal Care & Housing Form for 2007-2008:
All livestock & horse projects will be required
to have on file in the Extension Office this new Animal Care &
Housing Form to enroll in a livestock/horse project. It is similar
to the Primary Care Form that was required for livestock in 2006-2007.
